There is something timeless about a little girl’s first birthday. It is the bridge between babyhood and all the magic still to come. For this session, we transformed the studio into a soft golden dream, inspired by the beauty of Belle and the warmth of family.
The design began with a custom backdrop that I created and printed myself. It featured a gold rose pattern on a creamy background, delicate yet rich, setting the tone for everything that followed. From there, I added handcrafted roses and gorgeous Beauty and the Beast-inspired cutouts to make the set feel elegant and storybook-like, yet modern in its simplicity.

Because this was a premier session, her wardrobe was as special as her theme. Her gold gown was made by hand by my designer and crafted specifically for her. When she arrived, it shimmered beautifully under the soft studio light, and she truly looked like a little princess. After the session, she took the gown home as a keepsake: a piece of her first birthday story she can hold onto forever. And bonus! Mom and Dad took it to Disney with them and I hear it was a tremendous hit!!

Her cake smash outfit was a Belle-inspired romper in gold tones with ruffled details that matched her personality perfectly. She explored the set, played with the roses, and then discovered the cake from Candi's Cakery which was a buttercream creation adorned with an edible enchanted rose. Each tiny touch of frosting came with a smile, each giggle captured her joy.

The entire session felt like a celebration of who she is right now: curious, radiant, and full of life. Every prop, every color, and every piece of styling came together to tell her story with heart and intention.
Mom was kind enough to share her thoughts on the experience: "was absolutely amazing start to finish, she was quick to respond to any questions, listened to our vision and executed it absolutely perfectly. The photographs we received were absolutely beautiful."
