Every maternity session feels a little like meeting a secret, a glimpse into the quiet love that’s already forming long before baby arrives.
Alexandra’s session was all warmth and laughter from the very first moment. As she stepped into the studio, it was clear she was already glowing. She had that unmistakable light that comes when a woman is both herself and something entirely new.
If you’re planning your own maternity session, I’d love to help you design something timeless.

The Mood: Light, Laughter, and Buttercream
We kept things simple and elegant to let Alexandra shine. A soft buttercream backdrop reflected the natural light just enough to make every image feel calm and intentional, just the kind of tones that will look as beautiful on a wall in ten years as they do today.
There was so much laughter throughout her session. Between posing and chatting about baby names, she radiated the pure joy of someone who knows the next chapter of her story is about to begin.
A Blush Gown and a Beautiful Beginning

Alexandra chose a blush gown from my studio wardrobe, a delicate choice that paired perfectly with her soft features and glowing skin. The gown’s flowing fabric moved gently with her, creating the most romantic texture against the neutral backdrop.
Her husband joined for a few portraits, and the way they looked at each other said everything: excitement, awe, and that quiet love that only deepens as you prepare to become parents.
Why Maternity Sessions Matter
It’s easy to tell yourself you’ll remember this feeling - the anticipation, the way your hands rest on your belly, the sound of your baby’s first kicks. But time has a way of blurring the edges of memory.
These portraits aren’t just about documenting pregnancy. They’re about holding on to the tenderness of now, before it changes forever.

Thinking about your own maternity session?
My Manhasset studio was designed for calm, curated portraits that celebrate the beauty of motherhood in every stage.
