All About Me!

Hi! I'm Danielle and I live on the North Shore of Long Island with my husband and four cats. I grew up on Long Island and have two younger sisters. Ever since I could remember I loved taking photos - my first big purchase was a digital camera in high school which I used for many years.

In 2009, I bought my first DSLR camera and my love affair with photography was officially full-blown. I took my camera everywhere and it has been with me to over 35 states and a dozen countries! It has captured some amazing moments of food, travel, and family (actually, the things I love most!!). In fact, I'm so often behind the camera, one of the few professional photos I have is from my very own wedding.

I photographed my loved ones important moments through the years (engagement, wedding, everyday life). So, when both of my sisters became pregnant, I was honored that they wanted me to take their photos for maternity and gender reveals. Although we didn't know it at the time, they would give birth to two girls just six weeks apart. Doing their newborn photos, and then documenting their lives through their first 12 months and beyond was a privilege and allowed me to see firsthand the importance in portraiture. Watching my beloved sisters become mothers, nurturing the next generation of strong women remains one of the most magical pieces of my life.

Word spread and soon I was doing photos for family friends, friends of friends, and I realized this was something I loved to do. And so here we are! Gold Coast Family Photography was born. My studio, based in Manhasset on the North Shore of Long Island is comfortable, cozy and relaxed; the exact same way I love to document your families.
