What’s a Milestone Session?
A milestone session is a portrait session that typically takes place various times throughout a baby's first year. Most often, clients book in 3-4 months, 6 months, and 9 months of age capturing tummy time, sitting, and crawling! It’s the perfect time to capture your baby's growth, new skills and burgeoning independence.
Every session is designed around your baby’s comfort, personality, and style. I tailor the backdrop, wardrobe, and flow to ensure your baby feels safe, cozy, and completely themselves.
For clients who book multiple sessions, we can work together to create complimenting looks so your first year album is a cohesive and gorgeous heirloom of your family's first year together.

I provide a fully curated wardrobe with soft, timeless options that photograph beautifully. You’re welcome to bring a favorite outfit of your own, but most families find something they love from my collection.
Colors are chosen to complement your baby’s skin tone and the final set. Textures like knits, ruffles, and vintage-inspired pieces often take center stage.
Session Flow
Milestone sessions are playful, high-energy and guided from beginning to end. I use gentle cues, favorite music and lots of patience to help your baby feel at ease. Parents are always nearby, offering comfort and encouragement when needed.
Most sessions last 25–30 minutes — the sweet spot for baby attention spans. If your baby needs a break or snack, we take it! Flexibility is built into the experience.

When should I book a milestone session? The perfect time to book is when at your newborn session - once booked, you don't have to think about it again. However, for families that is also an emotional moment. Most families schedule their session about 4–6 weeks before their session takes place, that sweet window before the milestones begin.
Where do the sessions take place? All milestone sessions are held in my cozy studio in Manhasset, Long Island, designed to feel calm, welcoming, and always baby-friendly.
What should my baby wear? You’ll choose from a curated wardrobe of soft, timeless pieces, or bring a favorite outfit from home. We’ll plan two looks together ahead of time so every detail feels just right.
Can parents or siblings join? Absolutely. While the focus is on your baby’s milestone, we can always include a few tender moments with you or siblings if you’d like.
Do you provide props or set design? Yes - each session is softly styled to keep the spotlight on your baby. I use textures, layers, and subtle details to create a backdrop that feels elevated, not overwhelming.
What if my baby doesn’t smile? Every expression is part of their story. Whether it's a quiet gaze, a wide-eyed stare, or a full belly laugh, we’ll capture the moment exactly as it is. And yes, I have lots of gentle tricks for coaxing joy when it’s needed.
